Oak Island employment is a great experience to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Hennum’s Oak Island Lodge is a fishing resort at the Northwest Angle of Minnesota and 40 miles north of Baudette, MN on Lake of the Woods. We accommodate up to 70 lodging guests and have a bar/restaurant that many locals like to enjoy. The island has 4 resorts and many seasonal cabins. Our scenery and fishing are incredible. Join us for the summer season or beyond.

We have two seasons. Our winter season starts mid-December and runs through late March. We are closed on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. Our summer season starts in early May and runs through mid/late October.

Housing:
We have several housing options. All employees have a bedroom, bathroom, microwave, small fridge, tv, and Wifi. Meals are prepared at the lodge.

Dock/Maintenance
Duties: Variety of tasks. Duties include pumping gas, selling bait, hauling guest luggage, boating to get groceries and supplies, yard work, general maintenance and provide excellent customer service.
Shifts/Hours: Varying days of the week and shifts between the hours of 7 am – 8 pm.
Requirements: Must be a team player. Must be 18 years or older. Experience is helpful but will train. Boat driving experience is a plus.
Cook
Duties: Prepare menu items, staff meals, guest box lunches, and shore lunches, wash dishes, prep food, stock, keep your work area clean and organized, and assist in planning specials.
Shifts/Hours: Varying days of the week and shifts between the hours of 6 am-10 pm.
Requirements: At least 1-year of experience is required. Must have Servsafe Training or be willing to complete it, be 18 years or older, and be a team player.

Duties: Server: Take menu orders, serve guests, set tables, use a point of sale computer system, keep work areas clean, and provide excellent customer service. Housekeeping: Clean rooms, lodge, wash, fold, and dry laundry.
Shifts/Hours: Varying days of the week and shifts between the hours of 6:30 am-9:30 pm.
